Much has happened since I last posted. We have almost everything recorded for our new EP; we just need to smooth out the details. If you went to our show at Panchos, you heard one of the songs from the EP, “Old Brick Roads.” The EP should be out in late January/early February.

Patrick just left Chicago today, headed for Vermont. As you may have heard, he’s moving to the east coast. Once the school year is over, I’ll be moving to the west coast. Obviously this living-on-opposite-sides-of-the-country thing will prevent live shows from being possible, but we plan to continue making music as a studio band. In the short term, I’m going to Vermont for winter break to work with Patrick, finishing up the EP.

The release of the EP will be similar to that of our LP; we’ll put it online so people can purchase it on iTunes. However, this time we’re going to try and figure out some physical copies… CDs? USB drives? 8-track tapes? The jury’s out right now but we’ll think of something. Like I’ve said before, CDs are dead, but I’d really like to release some liner notes with pictures and lyrics. We might even throw a couple tracks online for free download.

Anyway, stay tuned for updates. We have a lot of new things in the works.
